U13 Assistant Coach - Ericha Stuberg

Hometown:
Wauwatosa, WI

Playing Experience:
I began playing volleyball at 8 years old. I played club volleyball for six years- three years at Next Level and three years at MVP. I played for St. Joes grades three-eight, Whitman middle school grades sixth-eight, and was a four-year varsity libero at Wauwatosa West High School.

Coaching Experience:
This will be my second year as a club coach for 360! I coached the 15s team last year, as well as coached 360’s ATP sessions. I have coached Ozaukee County Special Olympics volleyball for two years. I began my high school coaching career this year with Nicolet High School as a Freshman girls co-head coach with Alyx Jacobson.

Playing/Coaching Accomplishments:
I was a four-year varsity player at Wauwatosa West High School. In my junior year I was named second team all-conference and was honored as defensive player of the year. As a senior I was named first team all-conference and again won defensive player of the year. Upon my graduation from West, I held the record for most digs in a match, most digs in a season, most digs in a career and most service aces in a career.

When I coached Special Olympics our team took first place at state for the 2019 season!  Nicolet JV2- finished with a 7-2 record, took first at the Whitefish Bay Invitational tournament  and took second at the conference tournament.

Degree/Education:
Graduated from Wauwatosa West in 2018. I am currently studying to get my bachelor's degree in high school special education at the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee.

Personal:
Some of my favorite things to do are play volleyball, spend time with family and friends, volunteer for Special Olympics sports, go out to eat, watch movies, listen to music, go shopping, hangout with my dog and watch sports.

Why Do You Enjoy Coaching:
There are a few reasons why I enjoy coaching so much. I fell in love with volleyball when I was eight years old, and over the years that love for this sport just kept growing. I want to share that love and passion I have for this sport with other players. One of the main reasons I coach is because I think children being involved in sports, especially team sports, helps learn valuable skills that they will carry with them for the rest of their life. Lastly, I find such joy in watching my players work hard to accomplish their goals and be a part of that process.

What Would You Tell Your 13-year Old Self About Playing Volleyball:
I would tell my thirteen-year-old self to not make volleyball my whole life. Volleyball is just one part, and there are so many other things to make sure you focus on. When you play a sport, it is important to be committed and give it your all, but my biggest advice is to make sure you don’t lose focus on your other priorities outside of the sport.

Favorite Volleyball Memory:
Although I had a lot of amazing volleyball moments as a player, I would have to say my favorite memory is when my Special Olympics team won first at state. To see all that hard work we put in throughout the season and to watch the joy in their faces as they got that gold medal made me so proud.

Favorite Movie:  My favorite movie is Forrest Gump

Favorite Local Restaurant:  This is an impossible question. One of my biggest loves and passions in life is food. I am not able to pick a favorite restaurant, but if you ever need a recommendation for a place to grab a bite, feel free to ask!

U13 Head Coach - Jackie Karnuth

Hometown: Waukesha, WI

Playing Experience: I started playing club volleyball when I was 11. Played for a variety of clubs including West Allis Lightning, Milwaukee Sting, Midwest Penguins, and North Shore Milwaukee. I played 4 years of High school volleyball at Waukesha West High School as well. As a freshman, I played JV and continued to Varsity my sophomore through senior years. I was named captain my freshman and senior seasons.

Coaching Experience: This season officially kicks off my 9th season of coaching. I have coached summer camps and clinics for various organizations throughout high school and college. I was the Freshman coach at Waukesha West High School for 2 seasons 2013-2014. Additionally, this will be my 6th season coaching club and 4th with 360 Volleyball Academy. I have coached u13, u14, u15, u16 and u17 previously, and I am very excited to have a chance to coach the youngest members of our club this year with the u13s!

Playing/Coaching Accomplishments: I was voted MVP of the Waukesha West Varsity team my senior season, but my biggest volleyball accomplishment has definitely come while I was coaching. My 2016 BP 14-1s took first place in 8 out of 10 local tournaments and made us the most winning team in club history. It was awesome to see the players gain confidence and grow as volleyball players as the season went on.

Degree/Education: I have my BSN from Columbia College of Nursing and work as an Orthopedic/Neurology Nurse at Waukesha Memorial Hospital.

Personal: I am originally from Waukesha WI and lived in several different cities during my college years. I spent time in Omaha but ended up settling in Milwaukee to finish my degree. After graduating I moved back to Waukesha to begin my career. When I'm not coaching volleyball, I enjoy baking, cooking, reading and spending time with friends and family.

Why Do You Enjoy Coaching: Volleyball has been a significant part of my life since I was 8 and has always been a positive influence in my life. I coach because I want to share my love of the sport and my passion for the game with other people who feel the same way. The lessons I have learned and friends I have made are irreplaceable and I would love to be a part of those memories in the next generation of volleyball players. I have had wonderful coaches during my time as a player, one of my favorites being Coach Jacobson. He was one of my u14 coaches at NSMVC and was a significant part of why I wanted to become a coach. When I was given the opportunity to coach with him as part of such a unique club experience there wasn’t a doubt in my mind that this is where I wanted to be. I love seeing the player’s improvements as the season goes on and nothing is more rewarding than seeing that lightbulb switch on when the skill finally clicks! I am looking forward to the season and can’t wait for it to start!
